I tried writing in Japanese with zero experience lol.


All my Japanese knowledge is self taught from other lyrics, with very few words taken in through osmosis from jp media.

My workflow for writing lyrics was to write a general idea for each section of the song in english and try my best to formulate something in Japanese. I'd look up words and use translators. Honestly, it was alot of work. 

I'm worried about unnatural phrasing, and the words not flowing with the melody. But I realize its the best I can do as a non-native speaker. I shouldn't be so hard on myself.

i will say though the double meaning of (ai mo shinai) as 愛もしない (never love) or 会いもしない (never meet) is pretty clever

I really hope to write more JP lyrics in the future. I hope to learn enough Japanese to write well.

Broken JP lyrics aside, the song is about realizing you will never feel like you belong in a place you love.
Maybe it's destined, maybe it's a twisted fate of self fulfilling prophecy, you run away from it.
Believing it's all your fault, wishing to disappear.
After all, the only way to escape the pain is to disappear.
But you're bound by human instinct of survival.
Trying to to accept the pain, at least achieving an absurd victory over it.
But not even that is possible.

Update [08/08/2025]
The lyric "幸せフリをして" I think is off.
It would probably be more natural to say "幸せなフリをして"

Composition wise this entire song feels incomplete. I will likely remake this song when I improve as an artist.

I may switch to SynthV depending on the composition direction.
